Raquel Zúniga, the founder of Open Borders, is a dedicated educator and college counselor with ample experience in these fields. After relocating among different countries within the Central American region, her persistence, adaptability, work trajectory, and enthusiasm for learning, evolved into a unique skill set that allows her to interact with students of different age groups and diverse needs with positive results.

Having worked at all academic levels, from preschool to university, her career path is full of interesting experiences which enable her to apply strategies and structured processes to work with her students and their families. Her guidance, as a teacher and college counselor, progressively leads to goal achievement and student ownership in their learning process, creating a sense of accountability that encourages introspection and responsibility.
